How to encourage our students to speak up in the classroom
- Ask qestions
 - Be patient for answers - apply 7 seconds wait-time
 - More groupwork and pairwork
 - Praise the students/ reward
 - Presentation in class
 - Information gap activities - pictures/ words
 - Revisit/ review new vocabulary (at least 7 times)
 - Problem solving activities
 - Open questions
 
Sample activity that was carried out in the classroom
- Paste the passage/ text (content) around the class.
 - Divide the students to move around the class and read different text.
 - Students then sit in their group that read the same text.
 - Group discussion by using the word list provided. (Most of us know that...., Some of us didn't know that..., A few of us know that....)

To make sure all the students pay attention during presentation, give other students a task. In this example, the other students need to identify the sentence that was used. (word list)
